My Supports
"Support" to me means being a cushion, comfort or foundation to me when needed. When someone supports you they have your best interest at heart and want to help. My family supports me often by helping me with my children. I work 10 hour days and travel often so I depend on their support to help me care for my children when needed. The benefit of their support is that I trust them with my children and my children are in a familiar environment that makes them feel comfortable. If I didn't have such a reliable support system I know that I couldn't work the hours I work, attend school and provide for them financially. My goal is to find a job that would allow me to work around my children's school schedule. This would mean working while my children are at school, picking them up from school, not working nights or weekends and no work related travel....and did I mention off in the summer! This schedule would have me less dependent on my family and allow more valuable time to spend with my children.

Where would we be without support systems in our lives? i am happy that your family is supporting you as you design a life for you and your kids. It is good have the end goal in sight. I am guessing that you are very supportive of your family in return. Thanks for your post this week and for getting it done early. Its nice to greet the weekend with a light load!

ReplyDeleteI agree that family is the comfort and joy that we all have to depend on. and it is a great thing to have support that give of themselves when it is needed. I know that you will find the balance in your live to help you and give you the time you need to spend with your family as well. The one thing that I have found it that you will still have that support and that what loving family give to each other. Katherine

ReplyDeleteI like your definition of support. It is great that you have dependable supports to help with the care of your children. Often that is one of the most difficult support for parents to find.

Twanda I enjoy commenting on your blog posts weekly. Your blog is so inviting to me. It's nice to know that you have the support of your family when you are in need of a babysitter when you have to travel.Twanda I hope in the near future you find the job that will allow you to work around your children school schedule.
ReplyDeleteI believe family is the greatest support system. Everyone does not have that luxury but thankfully I do and so do you. I have faith that you will find that job that you are hoping for and then you can be the type of support system to someone else.
